Join this tour of Baghdad: Eye's Delight led by curators: Sheikha Aljohara Al-Thani, Dr. Tara Desjardins and Reem Aboughazala. The exhibition reveals Baghdad’s outstanding heritage as the capital of the great Abbasid caliphs (750-1258 CE) but also of the 20th century when the city once again experienced a period of prosperity with the discovery of oil.

The tour takes visitors across the centuries highlighting Baghdad’s role as city of power, scholarship and riches. Visitors will also explore Baghdad’s role as a great intellectual and artistic city that attracted many scholars and philosophers from around the world.
