Whether fiction or documentary, the selected films delve into themes that reflect the richness and diversity of the Islamic world. Each screening is followed by an engaging discussion, allowing members to reflect on the artistic, cultural, and historical dimensions presented on screen. It’s a great way to expand your understanding and appreciation of Islamic heritage through the powerful medium of cinema.

The film presented this month is The Painted Truck, directed by Judith and Stanley Hallet and Sebastian C. Schroeder.

The film will be screened inside a round Afghan tent inside MIA Library. The film is 28 minutes long.
