This display presents the outcomes of a multi-year graphic design investigation centred on the astrolabe. The project began in 2024 through research conducted at the Museum of Islamic Art Library and continued through 2026. Through publications, printmaking, sketches, laser-cut models, and interactive book design, the project examines how historical scientific instruments can be translated into engaging educational narratives for contemporary audiences.

The works on display trace the development of the research process, from observational sketches and archival studies to hand-bound publications and experimental design outcomes. Together, these works highlight the intersection of history, craft, and graphic design, demonstrating how design can deepen public engagement with cultural heritage and the history of science.
