These Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) wares would have been made for the Middle Eastern market due to their clear incorporation of Islamic-inspired motifs and forms. These include the additional silver covers and mounts, the scrolling floral motifs set within cartouches, and, in particular, the form and function of the rosewater sprinkler.
