Inspired by the museum’s iconic muqarnas ceiling, the activity translates the intricate geometry of Islamic architecture into open-air sculptural forms. Working alongside facilitators, participants will construct a bamboo polyhedra ranging from three metres to six metres tall. The resulting installations will transform the gardens into a collaborative celebration of geometry, craft, and community.
Join us for a three-day installation and participatory workshop that invites the public to collaborate in building large-scale bamboo polyhedral structures in the gardens of the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA).
