Join Dr. Daniel Newman, an award-winning writer, scholar and translator of Arabic literature for a fascinating tour of the MIA galleries, and objects in its collection that relate to food and cooking in medieval times. After the tour of the museum you will be transported back to the tastes, smells and sounds of the Fifteenth-Century Islamic World.

Chef Fabrice Rosso, Head Chef at IDAM by Alain Ducasse, will craft a Sultan’s Feast to delight your palate. Participants will also get to experience a spice smelling station, perfumes of the 15th Century, and discuss Dr. Newman’s book in more detail.
