IDAM by Alain Ducasse is delighted to welcome the season with a special local treasure from the desert, and Executive Chef Damien has designed a limited-edition menu exclusively available on the 15th of March.

Available on the 15th March at the dinner, our 5-course Desert Truffle Menu celebrates the magnificent seasonal gem from the desert, the ‘Terfeziaceae’.

Carefully selected ingredients combine to create fragrant and refined dishes such as the ‘Cookpot of lightly spicy vegetables’, and the ‘Confit lamb shoulder, truffle and bulgur’.

On 21 March, France is on the menu!


For the fourth consecutive year, on the 21st March 2018, IDAM by Alain Ducasse at the Museum of Islamic Art pays tribute to Goût de France/Good France – the unique worldwide culinary event uniting 3,000 chefs over 5 continents, in celebration of French gastronomy.

This year's Goût de France/Good France is dedicated to Paul Bocuse, who lead the great evolution of French cuisine. Executive Chef Damien Leroux has created an exclusive 6-course menu including a reinterpretation of Paul Bocuse’s famous dish, the Red mullet, crispy potato scales, along with the Roasted fillet of veal, early vegetables, blanquette jus. A delicate Tart tatin completes this unique culinary journey.

To accompany this menu, our mixologist has crafted an elegant and refined pairing showcasing signature blends as ‘Red harvest’ and sparkling grape.

Attend a demonstration from IDAM’s Executive Chef Damien Leroux and his team who will share their passion for gastronomy and provide a first-hand insight into IDAM’s seasonal menu themes infused with a twist of local influence. 

This March, attend a live demonstration by IDAM’s chefs as they prepare some of IDAM’s newest recipes in the restaurant’s kitchen – available on Friday 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 2-5PM.

  • Friday 9th of March: Vegetarian & Seasonal product to welcome the spring.
  • Friday 16th of March: Special QIFF master class. Different side of food on bakery and sweet recipes.
  • Friday 23rd of March: Local fish and raw food. All recipes with an Arabic twist.

Each session costs QAR 500 and includes the three hour Master Class, a booklet, apron, recipe information – and an exclusive tasting of the dishes prepared.

Qatar Museums offers unique IDAM apprenticeship to up-and-coming Qatari chef

Qatar Museums (QM) has offered Qatari national Mohamed Al-Sulaiti a unique apprenticeship at the Museum of Islamic Art’s (MIA) award-winning restaurant, IDAM. Mohamed Al-Sulaiti started his apprenticeship a month ago, after completing a series of IDAM masterclasses over the past year. 

The masterclasses, which focused on haute cuisine, were run by IDAM’s Executive Chef Damien Leroux and his team. During the classes, the team discussed their passion for gastronomy, shared some of their latest recipes and provided visitors with a first-hand look into IDAM’s seasonal menu themes, all of which are infused with a twist on local cuisine.



From January 3rd, discover the limited edition 6-course 5th anniversary Menu.

At the newly-opened terrace of IDAM, you’ll discover Doha’s best spot to lounge in front of a spectacular view of west bay and the corniche.

International interior designer Phillipe Starck created a stylish, relaxing outdoor of natural palettes combined with luxurious wood, ceramic, marble and metallic lanterns to create the perfect atmosphere to enjoy charming teas or a delicious fruit-mixture crafted with special attention.

Open to both guests and non-guests of IDAM during the lunch and dinner time, the lounge is serving a wide variety of freshly made juices, mocktails, teas and coffees generously complimented with ‘Zaatar Goujeres’
